My sincere apologies - one day I’ll get around to it and be able to spruce P-T.net up, but what it’s purpose will be, as of yet, I just don’t know! xxx
P.S. As an afterthought, I cannot believe it’s September! This is madness! It’s been amazing, but where has all the time gone?!
]]>However, in a couple of months it’ll be summer and things may all change around! I’m really looking forward to the prospect of completely overhauling P-T.net and getting back on the bloggy bandwagon! I also have plenty of ideas I want to explore so who knows where they may lead?
Much love, will be back soon! xxxxx
]]>In the mean time, I thought I’d share (belatedly) a little of the fun had over here in the UK when we received one of the best snowfalls since…well, a while! Whilst terribly ’snowed in’, I managed to use my artistic skills (aka shoe obsession) to come up with this:

I have to say that on completing this, despite wearing gloves, my hands were completely numb!
Unfortunately the snowy conditions also meant everything came to a halt: Having claimed that “this school will not close“, everyone was much amused when on one day only eleven day girls turned up meaning they promtly shut the school the following day! Our play performance was postponed (although this wan’t too bad as all the plays are dreadfully under prepared) until a week on Monday. The choir concert (Fauré’s Requiem) was postoned until the summer - also not too bad as it’ll be much better then.
Right now I’ve just finished a massive (for me) order from Amazon - very exciting! A new singing book, my own copy of Romeo and Juliet (GCSE exam text) so that I can annotate the whole thing, some Penguin Classics and Jason Mraz’s new album. I’ve also ordered the complete collection of Katherine Mansfield’s short stories as, having read a couple in English, I really enjoyed them, which surprised me as I’m not normally a short story person at all! Now I’ll just be sat watching the front door every morning…
]]>There was a bit of site down time this morning. I had a slight panic as all the sites I’ve done for local clubs and such were also down, but I think it was just a temporary server thing - phew!
Again I seem to be failing in the updates and activeness department. I think this has something to do with my developing interest in web standards, accessible design and the like, but also my knowledge that P-T.net is far from being very good in that respect. I’m wanting to take P-T in a different direction, but lack the time to overhaul it. Argh?! I’m afraid I have lines and singing pieces to learn, so this quandry shall have to wait!

Antik Batik Porter Tong Brass Beaded Sandal
An unusual pick for me, I just loved the detailing of the brass beads. Having first fallen for the cream, I found the dark chocolate colour slowly grew on me, leading me to use this version for my post. Sadly they’re not something I’m going to be getting my hands on any time soon a these gorgeous offerings from Antik Batik are priced at $200, here.
]]>Anyway, I’m currently figuring a way to hash together my next layout which, though currently sitting pretty in Adobe Illustrator, has not progressed to the stage where code gets involved. I feel I ought to probably remove the Christmas theme ASAP as I today’s officially the last day of Christmas…
Other than that the last few days have been pretty uneventful, simply leading me to give you a cheering link to Ralph Wellington - The Happiest Turtle in the World!
]]>Other events that have occurred in these last days of ‘08 include me managing to nab a Kate Nash album for £2.50 in the light of Woollies’ collapse, ordering my 2009 moleskine diary on Amazon only to discover that it’ll only be dispatched on the 5th —–
—– This is where I got to when my computer went KAPUT. Somewhere in the midst of my desperate downloading of Flash .SWF file compressors an important file was damaged/deleted and Dad and I have been working on restoring my PC since - what fun! Touch wood, my documents seem to be intact, but many of the programmes will have to be reinstalled (including Adobe Suite - do you know how long that will take?!). Quite a large pain and not exactly looking like it’ll make for the best start to the new year. However, there are minor positives, such as managing to delete some of the junk lying around my hard drive and the fact that I’ve managed to regress to Internet Explorer 6 (the worst piece of browser trash since…Internet Explorer 5?), which is brilliant for testing cross-browser compatibility in. *cue total geekdom*
So I better head off to try and patch things up before the New Year partying begins, which just leaves me left to wish you all the best for 2009!
P.S. All this and I still haven’t done that French!
]]>This year I knew in advanced what my present would be, having taken part in choosing it, but was still very excited to receive my lovely little, green, 16GB, 4th generation, ipod nano who has now been dubbed ‘Froggy’! He now houses 5 odd gigabytes of music and 1.2 of video - far more than I realised I had!
Much to my surprise however, I also received some brilliant new cymbals for my drum kit. This was even more to my surprise as we only opened our presents around lunch time and the cymbals had been on my drum kit, in corner of the room where we were, all morning and I hadn’t noticed!! That demonstrates my skills of observation eh?
Hope everyone else had a lovely Christmas and would love to hear what you got up to!
]]>VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
If your looking for anything in the way of festive entertainment, may I point you towards the ‘Tis the Season quiz, or how about a rather wintry game of good ol’ Line Rider? Or, if you’re in the UK at least, as a tip, Amazon are doing £3 off all MP3 downloads on Christmas or Boxing day - go wild!
