So, it’s the last day of 2007. I should probably do something spectacular to celebrate it, but any such ideas have escaped me, so I’m settling for watching all that New Year’s Eve TV (switching between the countdown and Jools Holland’s Hootenanny)! Whether you’re doing something more elaborate to see in the new year or not, I wish you a peaceful, enjoyable, happy, healthy and productive 2008!
I’ve been enjoying myself today by messing about with Wordpress and a variety of plugins! You might have noticed that the library type plugin I mentioned yesterday is up and running in the sidebar. It’s pretty awesome and, although a bit sparse at the moment, it’ll fill up during the new year! As you can see, I’m currently reading “The Golden Notebook” by Doris Lessing (a Christmas present). What it doesn’t yet say is that I’m enjoying it a lot! The (long) preface is a spectacular and thought provoking speach from Lessing with some great moments of cynicism. The book itself, from what I’ve read of it so far, is entirely different to anything I’ve ever read before and I love it; it’s, in places, witty, observational and well, interesting!
The other plugin I’ve installed is MyMooMus, which allows custom fields in blogs. I do however have some problems with it. I would like to be able to format the fields to appear under the title much like the categories do, however there doesn’t seem to be an option. Does anyone know how to do this or a better plugin to use? (I would be very grateful if you could share any knowledge with me!)
Well, anyway, see you in 2008!!!
